Terms of Service
Last updated October 28, 2026.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Reveal Marketplace ("Reveal", "we", "us") governing your use of revealmarketplace.com and the Reveal apps, tools and message centers (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, posting a job, submitting a bid, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Reveal Marketplace — support@revealmarketplace.com
Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
Homeowners use the Service to describe a job, receive bids, and choose a pro.
Home-service professionals ("pros") use the Service to review matching jobs, submit bids, and manage their business records. Pros are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Reveal, and are solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, taxes, work and warranties.
Your account
Provide accurate information and keep it current, including your name, email, phone number and — where required for your trade — license and insurance details.
Keep your password private and tell us right away at support@revealmarketplace.com if you believe someone else has used your account.
One account per person or business. Do not create accounts to impersonate someone else, to dodge a restriction, or to place or bid on the same job more than once.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
How bidding and selection work
A homeowner posts a job. Matching pros may review the job and submit a bid that states the scope and price they are offering.
Bids are offers from the pro, not guarantees. A homeowner is never obligated to accept any bid.
Before a pro is selected, Reveal keeps homeowner contact details private — pros may not ask for or attempt to obtain a homeowner's phone number, address or email outside the Service.
A homeowner selects the pro they want. That choice is the homeowner's alone; Reveal does not decide which bid wins.
Referral fees, payments and charges
When a homeowner selects a pro, that pro pays Reveal a one-time referral fee for the introduction. The referral fee is charged once, at selection, and is capped at $500 per job.
Contact details and the homeowner's address and phone number are shared with the selected pro only after that referral fee is paid.
Reveal does not take a share of the job price, does not charge the homeowner a referral fee, and does not bill a pro again after the job is done.
The price the pro and homeowner agree on is between them. Payment for the work itself is arranged directly between the homeowner and the pro unless Reveal offers a payment feature for that job.
Charges are made by card through our payment processor. Fees already earned for an introduction are generally not refundable, because the introduction was delivered.
Honest pricing and job conduct
Bid a price you can actually honor for the work described. Deliberately low bids placed to win a job and then raised are treated as a serious problem and may restrict the account.
If the final bill differs materially from the bid, either side can report it. Reveal reviews reported price jumps and mismatched invoices, and repeated problems can lead to suspension or removal.
Pros must keep their published profile accurate — business name, reported license and insurance answers, service area, years in business, and summary.
Homeowners must describe the job accurately, including photos or documents when they materially affect the work.
Messages, alerts and text messages (SMS)
Messaging between a homeowner and a pro happens inside the Service. Reveal may remove contact details from messages before a pro is hired so that no one is contacted outside the marketplace without consent.
Only if you separately opt in using the optional SMS checkbox do you agree to receive Reveal Marketplace texts at your saved mobile number about job requests, bids and selection, payment issues, hired-pro messages, and reminders. Providing a phone number alone is not consent. Consent is not required to use Reveal. Message frequency varies with account activity and conversations.
A hired pro may send texts through Reveal only to a customer with current SMS consent, after selection and payment of the referral fee. Legitimate paid-introduction contact sharing is separate from SMS enrollment.
Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help; support@revealmarketplace.com also provides help. You can withdraw consent in your account settings. Message and data rates may apply. Replying START unblocks a stopped number but does not enroll you again; separately opt in in account settings. A phone verification code you explicitly request does not enroll you in alerts.
SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Messaging providers process this information solely to deliver and administer Reveal messages.
Do not use messaging or texts for harassment, threats, spam, or to move a transaction off the Service in order to avoid fees.
Prohibited conduct
Do not: break or interfere with the Service; probe for vulnerabilities or access data you are not authorized to see; post false, abusive, discriminatory or unlawful content; upload malware; scrape or resell listings, bids or profiles; infringe anyone's rights; or use the Service to arrange payment or contact in a way that evades these Terms.
Do not attempt to discover Reveal's internal scoring, pricing logic, or staff tools, and do not misrepresent your identity, credentials, license or insurance.
Your content and licenses
You keep ownership of the job details, photos, documents and messages you submit. You give Reveal the permission it needs to host, display and share them as described here and in our Privacy Policy — for example, showing your job and photos to matching pros.
You confirm you have the right to post what you submit and that it does not belong to someone else.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Reveal is not the contractor, does not perform the work, and does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any pro's work or the accuracy of any bid, profile, review, license or insurance answer. Pros self-report license and insurance details; Reveal may review documents but a review is not a verification or endorsement.
Choose your pro, agree your scope and price, and confirm licensing and insurance requirements for your job with your pro. Any dispute over the work itself is between the homeowner and the pro.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Reveal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and Reveal's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid Reveal in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@revealmarketplace.com.
Reveal may warn, restrict, suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, endangers safety, or has unpaid amounts owed, and may remove content that violates them. Referral fees already earned for a delivered introduction remain due.
Sections that should survive ending — including ownership of your content, disclaimers, liability limits and dispute terms — continue after termination.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Reveal evolves. If a change materially affects you, we will notice you in a reasonable way — for example, on this page, in the app, or by email — and update the effective date below. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Effective date: October 28, 2026
