Who we are

Reveal Marketplace ("Reveal", "we") connects homeowners with home-service professionals through a bidding marketplace. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, password, and — if you choose to provide them — your phone number and home address.

Job information: the details, photos and documents you share about your project, including messages between homeowners and pros.

Professional information: business name, license and insurance documents, service area, years in business, and other details pros choose to publish on their profile.

Payment information: billing details handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service working.

How we use your information

To run the marketplace: showing your job to matching pros, delivering bids, messages, alerts and reminders.

To keep people safe: removing contact details from messages before a pro is hired, reviewing reports of bad behavior, and verifying license and insurance documents.

To communicate: transactional email and text message alerts about your jobs, bids and messages.

Text messages (SMS)

SMS consent is separate and optional. Providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent. If you opt in using the SMS checkbox, Reveal Marketplace may send job requests, bids and selection updates, payment issues, hired-pro messages, and reminders. Message frequency varies with account activity and conversations. Consent is not required to use Reveal. A verification code you explicitly request does not enroll you in alerts.

Pros may use the Reveal message center to text only customers with current SMS consent who have hired them. Contact details are shared only after a homeowner selects a pro and the referral fee is paid.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or get help by replying HELP. You can also turn job alert texts off on your account page. Message and data rates may apply.

We record future consent and withdrawals with your account identity, mobile number, status, disclosure version, source and server timestamp. Existing enabled preferences are not proof of affirmative consent, and we do not invent or backfill consent. STOP suppresses Reveal texting to that number; START only removes that suppression and requires a new account opt-in before alerts resume.

We do not sell mobile numbers or use them for marketing or advertising. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Messaging providers may process it only on our behalf for delivery and administration. This does not prevent legitimate contact sharing with your selected pro after the referral fee is paid; such sharing is not SMS consent.

Who we share information with

Homeowners see a pro's public profile and bids. A homeowner's name, address, phone number and email are shared with a pro only after the homeowner selects that pro and the referral fee is paid.

Service providers: we use trusted providers to operate Reveal — for example cloud hosting, payment processing, and text message and email delivery. These providers process information only on our behalf.

Legal and safety: we may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety, rights or property of Reveal, its users, or the public.

We never sell your personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can review and edit your account details on your account page, including your name, address, phone number and text-alert preferences.

Your Home Vault photos are yours; you can delete any of them at any time.

You may request a copy of your information, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion of your account by contacting support@revealmarketplace.com.

Data retention and security

We keep job records, messages, photos and payment records for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Reveal Marketplace is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Reveal evolves. When we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date below.
